May 12th is an ordinary day in 2008, but it is also an unusual day because on that day a strong earthquake happened in Sichuan province, China. The earthquake destroyed nearly everything in Wenchuan and Beichuan County of Sichuan province. It was so terrible that thousands of people were injured or even died in the earthquake. Many of them are students.

I am so shocked by the earthquake and feel so sorry about them. But I believe that with the help of our whole country and even other countries, the Sichuan people will finally defeat the earthquake and try their best to rebuild their hometown. They are sure to have a bright future!

    A strong earthquake happened in Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province at 14:28 on May 12th. And it has caused great damage to the whole China. The earthquake is the worst one which happened in China since the foundation of New China. By far Chinese people have tried their best to help the victims. They donated money and something useful to those areas.

    I believe under the leadership of the Party, we Chinese can overcome all difficulties and rebuild our hometown. In addition, I would like to say a word to the people there, “Although earthquake can take away our lives, it can not destroy our hope for the future. Come on, Sichuan! Come on, China!”
